DUI/DWI Education Classes
We provide a comprehensive recovery experience that will equip individuals with functional skills geared toward their successful completion of goals.
If you have been convicted of a DUI or DWI in the state of Maryland, you may be required to take a 12-Hour Alcohol Education Program, which is “an instructional program intended to provide rehabilitation for individuals convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI) or driving while intoxicated (DWI).

Program Overview
- There are several ways you can be referred to the program.
- You were referred by a District Court judge
- You were referred by an Administrative Law Judge in the Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH)
- You applied for a new driver’s license after your original license was revoked due to an alcohol-related incident.
- The MVA will send you a letter informing you that you are required to take an Alcohol Education Program course. You will also have to take a preliminary alcohol assessment to determine if you are an alcohol abuser or dependent.
- If you are found to be in one of these two categories, you will have to take the 26-week Alcohol Treatment Program. This program includes the curriculum of the Alcohol Education Program.
- If you are required to attend one of these programs in Maryland and do not do so, your driver’s license will be suspended.
